We’re Baaaack! The Honolulu Surf Film Festival kicks off Thursday nite July 6

Although summer officially starts on June 21 (the Summer Solstace), for the museum, the season begins when the Honolulu Surf Film Festival rolls in 🏄
And it returns next month for its 14th edition after a two-year hiatus!
Get ready for an incredible lineup that celebrates the power of waves, stories, and community.

HSFF kicks off on July 6 with an opening reception featuring performances by Temple Waves, exclusive T-shirts and tote bags by Manny Aloha, and the screening of the classic surf film “Searching for Tom Curren.”
Then you can see Tom Curren in the flesh when he makes a rare appearance (we found him!) at the post-screening talk.
Another can’t-miss festival event?
The Surf Aloha Concert with performances by Mana Maoli Kupu Collective, The Late Ones, and headliner (and big-wave slayer) Landon McNamara!
Make sure to catch the Manny Aloha pop-up shop, too 😉

Special thanks to our 2023 festival committee members: Martina Duran, Jon Santos, and Crystal Thornburg-Homcy.
