Surf News Network, February, 2017 – Patagonia announced the global release of The More Things Change – a 26-minute film by Gerry Lopez and Nathan Myers – today.

When Gerry Lopez first surfed Uluwatu in 1974, the fabled Balinese wave was magical, empty and pristine. Gerry returned to Uluwatu 40 years later to find it bustling, developed and profoundly changed. After a week of surfing and yoga, however, Gerry tapped into a spirit of place that continues to endure.

The More Things Change is more than a film about surfing and yoga – this is a film about mindfulness, connecting to the spirit of Uluwatu and protecting the places we love.

In recent years, booming popularity has placed huge environmental pressure on the Uluwatu area. Project Clean Uluwatu is working to ease this pressure and restore the area’s pristine nature. Please urge your readers to donate to help keep this iconic place sacred and intact for locals and visitors alike.
