‘DOUGLAS’ DAWN PATROL AT ONE OF PLANET EARTH’S MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES…

Monday: Cat1 Hurricane Douglas has 90mph, is tracking WNW at ~15kts, and about 40 miles NW of Lihue and leaving the area.

The track stayed more North (about 40 miles further than expected) thus saving us from the worst. This was not a false alarm…what happened was fully in the cone of error. Much better to be safe than sorry. Oahu had the center just ~35 miles off Turtle Bay as closest pass. A slight wiggle in the track could have easily occurred.

Feeling fortunate

Sunday….SEE THE RISING SURF…
