SEE YOU THERE & MAHALO FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE ANDY IRONS FOUNDATION & HAWAII THEATRE!

STREET FESTIVAL Kicks off the action at 4pm.

Andy Irons: Kissed by God is a film about bipolar disorder and opioid addiction as seen through the life of three-time world champion surfer Andy Irons.

OFFICIAL TRAILER below

Andy struggled with the same demons that millions of people worldwide battle with daily.

Andy was an incredible presence on the world stage as the “People’s Champion.”

He was the pride of Hawaii and revered around the world for his blue-collar rise to fame and success.

However, many were unaware of his internal battles that led to his demise.

As the opioid crisis rises to a national emergency in the United States, the untold story of Andy’s life serves to tear down the myths associated with these two ferocious diseases.

An EPIC night in China Town is coming soon… A Do Not Miss!

From the President  of Hawaii Theatre
Your Hawaii Theatre Center has been working overtime to bring something remarkable to Hawaii.
Andy Irons biopic “Andy Irons: Kissed By God” on Sunday, May 6th, 2018.

This movie is incredibly timely, as it provides insight into the struggles of both opioid addiction and mental health challenges the three-time world champion battled.  As a community, we have a tremendous opportunity to learn from the struggles our local hero faced, and do something to help those in need – many of whom we either know personally or see on the streets daily in Honolulu.

With the support of the community, we have secured the permits to close down Bethel Street in front of HTC on the afternoon of the 6th – and with the help of Don Murphy (who is donating food and beverages) – we’re hosting a street fair that will support the Hawaii Theatre Center and the soon to be formed Andy Irons Foundation’s charitable purposes.

The lineup: Come early

4:00 pm – Street Festival opens with Jeff Rasmussen

5:30 pm – Street Festival continues with headliner DONAVON

6:45 pm – doors open to HTC

7:30 pm – Movie Premier starts

9:30 pm – Filmmaker interviews on stage with Q&A

Street fair tickets are pretty affordable, and we have a limited number of PREMIUM sponsor tables with meet and greet opportunities and comfortable seating with tables of 8 in the Lanai at 1121 Nuuanu space.

All of the details are right here:

Mahalo in advance for your help.  We have a short timeline on this, but I’m hoping that even if you can’t support us with a sponsorship, you’ll consider picking up a couple of the street fair tickets and heading down to Chinatown for an action-packed afternoon of fun and a great movie to cap off the weekend.

Mahalo in advance for your kokua & your consideration!
