WSL OFFICIAL STATEMENT – Event officials spotted a shark heading in the direction of the competition area and placed the Corona Highline Specialty heat on hold. The safety teams quickly activated our responses protocols to ensure the safety of the athletes and staff participating in the heat. After closely monitoring the situation, event officials made the decision that we’re not going to resume the Highline heat this afternoon. We will come back tomorrow morning for the next call.
