July 31 — Windy, wild, and unpredictable. Sandy’s served up a mixed bag today — not clean by any stretch, but there were windows.
The shorebreak was doing its thing: dumping hard, folding over itself, and throwing up some sneaky gems between the chaos.
Backwash was everywhere, sending explosions skyward and turning closeouts into full-on carnage.
Currents were ripping — pushing, pulling, even surging up and down the beach like they had a mind of their own.
From the sand, it was a nonstop show of wipeouts, near-makes, and a few perfectly timed drops.
Middles and Chambers each had their moments, but timing was everything.
