WE NEED VOLUNTEERS
**Surf Instructors!
We are in need of experienced surfers who can tandem surf adults and children alike. If you can stay for 1 hour, great! If you can stay the whole time, even better. If you are new to our program please arrive on time as we will do a ‘New Surf Instructor training’ which will go over safety and helpful tips when surfing with individuals from our community.
Set up & Tear down
You can stay for both or come for one… we can use all the help we can get as many hands make for lighter work.
Assisted Swim
Swim or have a float in the shoreline! Buddy up with a participant for a relaxing dip
Equipment
Hand out appropriate equipment such as rash guards, life vests, booties… to our volunteers and participants
Transfer Team
Got Muscles? Rolling on the sand is no easy task! Be part of a team that helps individuals in and out of the water
Pusher
Assist surf instructors and participants by stabilizing and pushing them into waves!
Water Safety
On a rescue board or fins you will be the first to respond to a situation on the water. Experience / training required.
Beach Safety
Eyes are scanning the beach to assist volunteers and keeping participants safe.
Food tent
Suns out buns out! Serve food to our participants and volunteers!
Photographers
There are many life changing moments happening at DATB. Families and participants are over the moon to see their child or themselves on the wave of their life!
Check out this video about all the volunteer areas and register today!!
Registration is KEY!
Registering ahead allows us to plan accordingly for food, equipment and ensure we have enough support.
For participants: we do have a wait-list, but there is no guarantee – especially if you show up without registering first. Additionally, we cut-off check-in 1 hour prior to the end of the program – no participants will be accepted after that time.

DON’T FORGET!
You can purchase you orders online, select “Pick up”, and let us know you’d like us to bring your order to the next Day at the Beach! All proceeds go to AccesSurf programs!
The need for people to come early to help with set-up and/ or stay or even come at the end to help with tear-down is critical as many hands make for lighter work.
If you can come for one and or the other we really appreciate all the help we can get! Our programs are not possible without you!
Service animal policy at White Plains Beach
It is the policy from MWR at White Plains Beach that service dogs are always on leash, no more than a foot away from the owner and showing to be always working. While service dog owners are on the water your dog must be on a leash on shore. We ask that all of our community attending AccesSurf programs follow their policy so we can continue to use this facility.
