Waves, Winds, Weather compliments of Surfer, the Bar Concert Aug 6
Your exclusive SNN Observations for this Thursday, July 31st 630am
It's another beautiful and hot day on the way in Paradise. Light Trades filling in 10-20mph. Small 1.2' high tide 7am drops out to the .5' at 1230am pushing to a big 1.6' High at 630pm
NORTH: Same: Holding the background tiny 0-inches (ankle snappers) from the WNW+NE for select reefs and pretty much unridable. Most spots are flat with Chuns likely to have schools riding ripples; smooth light offshores. Better for dives and paddles. See our new SNN Laniakea & Chuns Cams. West: Makaha is holding on a 14 sec SSW hint at 0-1 occ 2' behind the reef; super long waits; its smooth and glassy dawn hours to lite offshores later then some isolated onshores; diving and paddling are also a good call. Town: Holding old SSW and rising later on new 18 sec forerunners also from the SSW; surf has some 1-2' and even some shoulder high (2.5') waves every 20 minutes at Ala Moana,Kaisers, Kewalos (check our new Bowls CAM). There's a hint of S-SE at 1-2' with good conditions and 18 guys out at Bowls. Diamond Head: Holding on the 14 period S-SW & holding on the S-SE at 1-2' and the occ 2.5' (shoulder high). We'll likely see head high sets today and it's fairly clean sideoffshore now at Cliffs and Right Hands. (Diamond Head Cam back this weekend). Sandy's: Up and holding on the SSW at 2-3 occ +?' and holding on the SSE & trade wrap at solid 1-3' with good power from Full Pt. to Pipelittles to chambers. East: Makapu'u: Holding on trade swell at 1-2' mostly and maybe occ 2.5' from the left side to middle mostly and a bit smaller at Keiki's...light to moderate onshores and its the typical chop.
