MODERATE/FRESH TRADES STILL BLOWIN' 10-25MPH; NORTH REEFS HOLD 0-1'; TOP WEST REEFS ON SOUTHWEST 0-2+', EASTSIDE HOLDING 1-3',SANDYS HOLDING SSW+SSE 2-3+,TOP SOUTH REEFS HOLDING SSW ANGLE 1-3'
BIG PICTURE: MONDAY
NORTH PAC Highs mellow to the N drops the Trade swells into week. its back to normal the following week of 8/18...a small low heads up the east coast of Japan Sat thru Monday which could push out some 2' WNW around Friday 8/22....minor pulse from NNW around this time. SPAC... A 18-20 second swell generated by a massive wide/long TAZ storm builds Wed 13th...should push up some 2' overhead, 3-4' local sized SW Thursday the 21st. Models hint of a 2ndary reinfrcmnt right after. So this regional source of swell should last 4 to 5 days or into Monday 8/25...Again, its wise to wait on the quikscats, actual buoy data and jason sea hts (vs models... which are not based on observations and actual data.) TROPICS: nothing likely. JET STREAMS: NORTH PAC: it bulges down to HI. and steers a decent storm into gulf for Calif and HI SOUTH PAC: TAZ still the main deal...long range poor to fair.

Barack Obama said today he wouldn’t raise taxes on anyone over 70 . . . and McCain said Obama was just pandering to the youth vote.
Not such a great day for Tom Cruise. He has been replaced in a movie by Angelina Jolie. Producers decided to go after a star that men lust after . . . rather than a star that men lust after.
