A 4x US Olympic swimming trialist, elite level standup paddler, zoologist and underwater photographer, Morgan’s love for the ocean stretches from cresting waves to sea floor. In 2008 she was the first woman to cross the 32-mile Molokai Channel on standup paddleboard.
In 2010 she teamed up with good friend Jenny Kalmbach to become the first women to standup paddle the main Hawaiian Island chain from the Big Island, Hawaii, to Ni’ihau. Their journey was called Destination 3 Degrees – referring to the three degrees of latitude and 300 mile distance they would cover. Morgan joins us to talk about her ocean journey and to show the documentary: Destination 3 Degrees. At Surfer the Bar: go direct Surfer the Bar
