Kai Lenny secures an impressive win at Turtle Bay and his first World Racing Title
Kai Lenny (Naish) put on a dominant performance over the weekend to secure his first Racing World Championship Title ahead of a field of international powerhouses. Coming into Pacifico’s Stand Up World Series Finals at Turtle Bay leading the overall rankings for the year, (wearing the yellow jersey as a result), Kai knew that he had to finish strong at home in Hawaii to ensure that the first racing Title would be his.

After what seemed like an eternity, the Karsten Thot bridge is officially reopened, thus disproving the previous belief that the Department of Transportation hates surfers. Why would anyone feel this way?...Probably because as soon as North Shore starts turning on, and surfers want to head up country to surf, frothing after this exceptionally lackluster of a summer, the DOT closed 1 of 2 main arteries into the country, creating a traffic headache for those both country and town bound. It didn't really thin out the crowds, it just made the commute significantly longer.

Shot over one week in Indonesia during this year’s team trip, at 8 minutes and 40 seconds this short film features a lot of hi-fi action footage with no filler, like the good old days of surf videos. The crew scored back-to-back swells and they surfed for hours on end from sun up to sun down getting some amazing clips in the process.

Surf News, 18 October, 2012 : The Rip Curl Pro Portugal, Event No. 8 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, has been called ON this morning. Rounds 4 and 5 as well as the Quarterfinals are on standby.
