This short video is a one of a kind! Each surf reef has its own ecosystem under the waves and these reefs are rarely documented until now. I use a small HD video camera to video the reefs at Pipeline, Wiamea Sunset Beach and other surf spots in Oahu and Kauai. The marine life and corals are different at each spot and due to rising sea levels and pollution many of our reefs are dying.

Bells Beach -- Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), 21, has claimed victory at the 2012 Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Fiesta over Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), 24, in offshore four-to-five foot (1.5 metre) waves at Bells Beach. The second stop on the 2012 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour, the Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach enjoyed a week’s worth of excellent waves and the world’s best female surfers rose to the occasion in fine fashion.

Surf News, 6 April, 2012 : - - Bells Beach, Victoria, Australia – Mick Fanning (AUS), 30, has claimed the 2012 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Ranger over reigning 11-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA), 40, in offshore three-to-five foot (1 – 1.5 metre) waves at Bells Beach.
Event No. 2 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach culminated in dramatic fashion today with pundits calling it the “best Final in event history.”

Bells Beach, Victoria/Australia – The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Ranger, the second stop on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, enjoyed another full day of action with the world’s best surfers lighting up the clean four-to-six foot (1.5 – 2 metre) waves on offer at Bells Beach.
Joel Parkinson (AUS), 30, defending Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach winner, proved the most dominant surfer of the day, posting the day’s high 18.94 out of a possible 20 for an electric performance in the Bells Bowl. Parkinson’s unmatched speed, power and wave affinity proved enough to eliminate an on-fire Fredrick Patacchia (HAW), 30.

If you asked the top big wave guys in the world who was at the head of the pack, odds are Shane Dorian would get the nod. There are people who are crazier, and that probably train harder, but when it comes to pushing the limits of what’s possible in big surf, Dorian is setting the bar. He’s gotten barreled at Mavs his first session there (and nearly drowned the next day), and holds the record for biggest wave paddled in to for his 57-foot bomb from his first time paddling Peahi in March of 2011. Tom Schaar has successfully the first ever 1080 - three complete spins -, the holy grail of all skateboard tricks. The 12-year-old skateboarding prodigy has been riding for eight years and has just accomplished the biggest dream of his life.
Tom had been trying it in the biggest skateboarding in world, the MegaRamp, which is 10-times bigger than normal pipes. "It took me a year to get used to skating and going over the gap and that high over the quarter. I'm used to go six feet, not fifteen", explains Schaar.
