John John Florence gives a glimpse into Americas best hope for a future World Title (after someone with 11 retires)

While the Quiksilver Pro at Snapper is old news, this new clip of Jordy and John John on the Gold Coast gives an insightful glimpse behind the curtain of a World Tour event.

The mind-games and mounting pressures can weigh heavily on young athletes. And even though he is only in his fourth season, Jordy has adjusted quickly, stating, "Hopefully I can show him [John John] a little of the ropes." Perhaps after a few seasons on tour John John will also adjust to surfing on the big stage, contending with Jordy for the title.

In this clip Sir John Florence reveals how he can sweat the small stuff. The world already knows how he can sweat the Pipe and Sunset. He's always been called a prodigy and is continuing to prove it on the world tour. And one of the most revealing aspects of his performance is his casual attitude about it all.
