Clark Little Gallery Haleiwa Two Year Anniversary Event
Featuring Kelly Slater GoPro Photography Exhibition
Haleiwa, Hawaii (December 4, 2012) — Clark Little Gallery Haleiwa is celebrating their two year anniversary on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 5:30pm-8:30pm with music, food, drinks, art / book / calendar signing, raffle, and a special benefit exhibition and auction featuring photography by current and 11-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater.
This is the first exhibition of photographs taken by Kelly Slater and will feature 10 different artist proof canvas giclee prints, sizes ranging from 12”x16” to 15”x20”. The images are mostly shot from within the tube and taken by Kelly using his GoPro HERO3 camera and turning the lens on himself while surfing....
Eight of the canvas prints will be available to purchase through a silent auction at the gallery on the day of the event and two canvas prints will be up for bid on eBay. For the ebay prints, bidding is open worldwide for 3 days starting on Wednesday, December 5 at 10pm (HST) on http://ClarkLittle.com. All proceeds from the sale of Kelly Slater’s photography will benefit “Waves For Water: Hurricane Sandy Relief Initiative” (http://wavesforwater.org)
During the gallery anniversary event, photographer Clark Little will be on hand to talk and sign art prints, books and his newly released 2013 calendar. Kelly Slater is also scheduled to make an appearance. Throughout the evening there will be raffle drawings with proceeds benefiting the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and the Waialua High School.
The Kelly Slater prints are provided by GoPro, drinks by Kona Brewing Company and food by Tanioka’s.

About Clark Little
Award-winning photographer Clark Little has gained international recognition for his North Shore Hawaii shorebreak photography. His work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic and the New York Times; exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum, Alden B. Dow Museum and Science Museum of Virginia; featured on TV shows Good Morning America, The Today Show and NHK (Japan); and licensed to Apple, Nike, Nikon, Toyota, HP and others. In December 2010, Clark opened his first Hawaii gallery in his hometown of Haleiwa. The gallery features open and limited edition prints, books, calendars and an array of art related products. In May 2011, Clark won the “Oceans Photography Award” which was presented at the Smithsonian Museum.
About Kelly Slater
Kelly Slater is the current Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Champion. He has been crowned a record 11 times, including 5 consecutive titles from 1994–98. He is the youngest (at age 20) and the oldest (at age 39) to win the title.
